About this Event
Stories Behind Things have partnered with Who What Wear UK and WeWork to host a new series of events together! Stories Behind Things is a storytelling platform that celebrates conscious and mindful consumption, our new series of events is centred around promoting circularity to our community and within the female clothing industry.
The Big Clothes Switch is a clothes switching experience where over 150 likeminded people will join us in redefining what ‘new’ meansthrough switching clothes they no longer love with branded, secondhand and vintage items, the clothes switch will be accompanied by Natalie Glaze’s Book Swap Club.
Our friends at Who What Wear have reached out to fashion brands we know and love to offer them a sustainable solution for their dead stock or over produced pieces. Resulting in many brands donating lines and collections to this event series (yay!) - brand names to be revealed and celebrated in the run up to the event.

What is a Clothes Switch?
A Clothes Switch is one of the most sustainable ways to update your wardrobe. We curate a cash-less shopping experience out of pre-loved & vintage clothing - steaming & hanging each piece - whilst guests shop our rails with the tokens they receive upon handing in the items they bring!
How does The Big Clothes Switch work?
1. Bring up to 5 quality items from your wardrobe you no longer love
2. Trade them in for tokens depending on their quality
3. Using your tokens, shop the beautifully curated rails filled with branded, second-hand and vintage gems.
About The Book Swap Club By Natalie Glaze
The @bookswapclub is all about loving the things you already have, giving them new homes and swapping instead of buying new
The way it works - it’s very relaxed, everyone brings minimum one book (some people including my bring more) we all lay the books out and you just go around reading the backs, chatting to each other about recommendations, who brought what book would they recommend and then if one catches your eye you pick that one to keep. You swap as many books are you bring
